Right now that we have went over some of the places that i have fished i think its about time we went onto the different  kinds

What types of bait to use , what kind of baits there are , imitation baits , ground baits.

-There are loads of different types of bait some anglers prefer certain types some just like the one type its all different to each angler what they prefer here are some types of bait that i have listed. The different types of bait depends on what your fishing for as well.Personally i like to have a selection of baits with me so i have a choice and at any time if i wanted to i could changed my rig or even try different baits together until i get a combination that works on the waters I'm fishing.

Here Are A Few Baits Used For Pike Fishing -

Spinners And Lures -
Lures & Spinners are both simple and effective, with the idea to imitate the prey fish for the pike. Why these predator fish go for them is a mystery as often they look nothing like the prey fish. Lures, spinners, and spoons are the classic categories, but the spinner bait has the combination of being both spinner and lure. They all can be equally effective on their day especially in the summer and autumn month's, and there are literately thousands to choose from all made from a variety of materials. Their effectiveness is governed by weight, colour, actions of the lure and the speed of retrieval by the angler.Ideally lures that can pause during the retrieve without snagging are best, for this reason jigs rigged with soft plastic shads or grubs, weed less spoons and spinner baits are perfect. Jerk baits in all densities are essential, Bull Dawgs and Ugly Joe's and big offset Spinner baits are the preferred choices, but don't feel limited to these.

With pike fishing there are many different ways to fish or even to set up your bait you can also buy things like , oils that help attract fish by injection more oils into your dead bait for example if you had a smelt on the end of your line and you wanted the sent of a  mackerel all you would do is set up your dead bait on to your hood a double treble it best  then  use your sirenge to inject the oils into the fish the cast like normal don't keep reeling in as the oils will just come out you want them to just come out naturally for all your fishing tackle you will get in any local fishing shop ect , pike love oily fish mackerel is on the top of the food chain for pike fishing but please be aware using this fish along wont guarantee a catch thousands of people use mackerel everyday to try and catch pike and the pike are now starting to wise to this  that's why i suggest you buy a few different types of bait so you maximise your chance of catching.

Ground baits , Bolies , Pop ups And Pellets -
  • Breadcrumb Ground bait
  • Crushed Hemp Ground bait
  • Big Carp Ground bait - Halibut / Strawberry / Scopex / Honey
  • Soft Hook Pellets - 4mm / 6mm / 10mm
  • Hard Feed Pellets - 4mm / 6mm
  • Pop up Worm Chunks - 10mm
  • Bolies - Strawberry / Scopex / Crab / Liver / Kiwi / Halibut
these are only a few of the thousands of different kinds and types off ground baits bolies pop ups and pellets that there is. I have gave you some of my favourite to use and what has worked best for me please remember to add attractive to your ground bait for extra sent.

When fishing its essential that you keep noise and sight to a minimal so you don't spook the fish. When i go fishing the first thing i do is set up the ground bait that i am going to be using once that's ready i make a few average size balls and throw them into the water in the area that I'm going to be fishing once that's done its best to set up your seat ect where your going to be sitting  remember try keep out as sight as much as possible so not to spook the fish then get the baits your going to be using next to you where there easy to reach after that's done i then set my rod up by the time you've done everything the ground bait in the water would have dissolved and attracted any nearby fish in to feed on that area so when your ready cast your rod in between where you throw your ground bait and sit back and relax don't forget to keep throwing in a couple maggots and some ground bait in every so on i would say a 4-5 maggots every 3-4 Min's and ground bait every 10-15 Min's i average ball this is to keep any nearby fish in that area so its always baited up.

If fishing with multiple rods remember to keep your lines well away from each other as one of the most common problems is when you hook a fish they tend to go under your other lines and can tangle if this happens you can loose your fish as the line tends to snap or you can be lucky sometimes it and will come free itself or you ll land the fish and have to set up all your rods again as you ll need to cut your line.

I hope this information was useful for everyone reading i will be updating blogs over due course as i still have a lot of areas to cover and fishing talk / tips to help you please feel free to leave your tips and comments and i will post them on my blog as i will be having a section In my blog for other anglers to share their experience  and tips thank you all for reading and hope you liked it.
